In this second book in the series we find Alex and Lonnie yearning for each other. Alex is afraid his feelings are not reciprocated; His duty to produce an heir pushes Lonnie into sacrificing himself for the duty that he knows Alex owes his pack. Lonnie also knows that Alex doesn't love him except as a friend. Killer who is trying to kill Zal is also out there, a house full of people living in his house and his duties of an alpha keep Alex too busy to notice Lonnie loves him. This story is full of angst and is well worth the read. The author, once again needs an editor for her story, but I would rather have the story than not worry about the errors. Good read
Enjoyable story, low angst and , likable characters Better if read in order . I look forward to reading the next in the series
